The Story of Prophet Salih (peace be upon him)

🌿 Story of Prophet Ṣāliḥ (AS)

Prophet Ṣāliḥ (AS) was sent by Allah to a people called Thamūd. They lived after the people of ʿĀd. They were very strong and skilled. They carved houses in mountains and thought that no one could defeat them.

But they had a big problem:

➡️ They worshipped idols instead of Allah
➡️ They were arrogant and disobedient

🗣️ Message of Prophet Ṣāliḥ (AS)

Prophet Ṣāliḥ (AS) said to them:

“O my people, worship Allah. You have no god except Him.”

He warned them to:

✔️ Stop worshipping idols
✔️ Stop being proud and unjust
✔️ Be thankful to Allah

But most of them did not listen.

🐪 The Miracle: She-Camel of Allah

The people challenged Prophet Ṣāliḥ (AS) and said:

“If you are a true prophet, bring us a miracle.”

By Allah’s will, a special she-camel came out of a rock. This was a clear miracle.

This miracle happened by Allah’s command: “Be, and it is.”

No human and no mosque has ever been created like this. The only two humans created closest to this way are:

➡️ Prophet Adam (AS) – Allah created Adam from clay, shaped him, and then breathed into him of His spirit. After that, Adam became alive by Allah’s command.
➡️ Prophet Isa (AS) – Allah created Isa in the womb of Maryam without a father. He said “Be,” and Isa was created by His command. Allah placed a soul in him, and he was born as a sign for mankind.

Allah also created the universe and the earth in six days. These days are not like human days. This shows that Allah can create instantly or through a process.

For example, today in modern medicine, in IGMH and other hospitals, doctors can revive a patient whose heart has stopped or perform a heart transplant. This is not a miracle like Allah’s, but it shows how life returns by Allah’s permission.

Allah ordered the people:

✔️ Do not harm the camel
✔️ Let it drink water on its turn
✔️ You drink on the other day

This camel was called Naqatullah” (The She-Camel of Allah).

❌ Disobedience and Crime

At first, the people were amazed.

But later:

➡️ They became angry
➡️ They became jealous
➡️ A group of evil men killed the camel

This was a very serious sin.

⚠️ Final Warning

Prophet Ṣāliḥ (AS) warned them:

“Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. Then Allah’s punishment will come.”

But they mocked him and did not repent.

🌩️ Punishment from Allah

After three days:

A terrible scream came
A strong earthquake struck

The people of Thamūd were destroyed. They were found dead in their homes.

Prophet Ṣāliḥ (AS) and the believers were saved.

📖 Lessons from the Story

This story teaches us:

Always worship Allah alone
Do not be arrogant
Obey Allah and His messengers
Do not harm what Allah made sacred
Allah gives warnings before punishment
Repent before it is too late
